The Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen, Denmark, houses a marble bust of the Roman emperor Gaius Caesar Germanicus known as Caligula (37-41 CE). This bust is renowned as one of the most distinguished portraits of Caligula, who is occasionally labeled as the “mad Caligula.”
The bust showcases a cuirass style with a round neckline and a crenellated breastwork pattern edged by a leather lining. Despite suffering damage over time, including a chip at the back of the head, multiple facial blows, and missing portions of the civic crown, our sculptors at Hephaisteion have meticulously restored Caligula, ensuring that the “mad Caligula” is now whole once more.
All our designs are high quality printing, environmentally friendly materials. Perfect finishes, very careful.
Pieces created with a high level of detail, durable products and great care when packaging
