The Altes Museum in Berlin, Germany, houses a marble bust representing Athena, crafted as a contemporary reproduction of a Greek original dating back to around 400 BCE. This bust belongs to the Velletri type, inspired by the lost Greek bronze sculpture known as Athena of Velletri by Kresilas, created around 430 BCE.
The sculpture portrays Athena adorned with a lofty-plumed helmet, characterized by an oval face, distinct eyebrows, nose, and eyes.
