This sculpture, still retaining traces of its original red pigment, portrays Attis, the consort of Kybele in Greek and Phrygian culture. Attis is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap, long trousers known as Anaxyrides, and a long-sleeved tunic secured with a belt at the waist. His right leg is crossed over his left, with his right hand clenched into a fist under his chin, while his left hand supports his right elbow. According to various scholars, these sculptures were not merely decorative pieces to support tabletops; rather, they were considered genuine cultic objects or, according to some interpretations, representations of eastern barbarian captives. This image, imbued with political significance and popular since the Augustan era, was utilized to showcase social status.
