Apollo Belvedere 3D MODEL

Apollo, a god associated with various domains, including music and protection against malevolence, is often depicted with feminine characteristics, featuring soft curves, rounded forms, and meticulously arranged long hair. Even depicted here, having just released his lethal arrows at Python, a female snake, and claiming her temple in Delphi.

The statue is regarded as one of the most flawless among all original Greek works, suggesting it couldn’t have been a Roman replica but rather an authentic Greek marble piece transported directly to Rome. However, the drapery around Apollo’s arm doesn’t mirror the same curves on both sides, possibly an error introduced during the Roman workshop’s marble replication.

Named after its location in the Vatican’s Cortile del Belvedere, the Apollo Belvedere was highly esteemed and frequently replicated for nearly 400 years before losing popularity. To enhance the statue’s completeness, a Hephaisteion sculptor has restored the god’s bow, allowing viewers to admire Apollo once again in his full splendor.
