Mithraic Aeon(Aion)/Zurban/Mithraic Chronos

This striking lion-headed figure is the Time-god named Aion by the Greeks and Zurvan by the Persians. He was admitted into the Mithraic pantheon after undergoing many foreign influences, and is associated with Kronos in the Greek texts and Saturn in the Roman world, thus also going by the name of Mithraic Chronus. This statue is a replica of the Mithraic Chronus statue in Florence, Italy.
